The walk first takes us through the three green spaces Bruno-Kreisky-Park, Am Hundsturm and Einsiedlerpark, all of which have a modern design. A new rainwater project in Bruno-Kreisky-Park demonstrates Margaret’s pioneering role in climate adaptation in Vienna. The Einsiedlerbad, built in 1890 as a watering hole, is now also an outdoor summer pool for children. While we can see the course of the streams of the Seven Fountains in Johannagasse, which were tapped in the 16th century, we imagine the historic Hundsmühle. The architecture of the Reumannhof, one of the six housing estates of Red Vienna on Margaretengürtel, is quite spectacular. Just as worth seeing is the MA48 headquarters, whose façade is planted with 17,000 plants over 800 m². Another pilot project is the 18 m high noise protection wall in Theodor-Körner-Hof, including a photovoltaic system. The walk takes us to Siebenbrunnenplatz, the site of the solar-powered waste compactor “Mr. Fill”, a central location in the district that is about to undergo a major transformation.
